Over the past 40 years, Chevron has worked closely with our industry partners to provide clean and reliable energy to fuel China’s growth.

Chevron has a wide range of operations in China from Upstream to Downstream and Chemicals. Through our subsidiaries Unocal East China Sea, Ltd. (UECSL), and Chevron China Energy Company Pte. Ltd. (CCEC), Chevron conducts our Upstream operations in petroleum and natural gas production.

UECSL has a contract with China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for natural gas development and production in Chuandongbei Gas Project in the Sichuan Basin in southwestern China. CCEC works with partners to develop offshore energy resources in the South China Sea and in Bohai Bay.

Chevron has supplied significant volume of LNG from our portfolio to China to meet its fast-growing gas demand on both long-term and short-term basis.

Caltex® has become an established marketer of gasoline and lubricant products in China. Chevron Oronite operates a Technology Center in Shanghai and a manufacturing plant in Ningbo to serve our customers.

We contribute to the development of people and technology, and we support social and educational programs in the communities where we work.
